Exhibition Highlighting the Korean Diaspora,

The Korean Cultural Center in New York is hosting the exhibition to shed new light on the history and concept of the Korean diaspora, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Korea-US alliance. With the works of 25 artists and teams, this exhibition will serve as an opportunity to broaden our understanding and perception of Koreans and Korean culture. The exhibition will be held at Gallery Korea, Korean Cultural Center New York, until July 14th.

‘Busan’s Delight’ to Captivate France

The Korean Cultural Center in Paris is hosting the special event ‘2023 Korean Culture Festival – Taste Korea!’ from May 30th (Tuesday) to September 16th (Saturday) to support the bid for Busan to host the ‘2030 World Expo.’

This event will showcase the diverse attractions of Busan through a photography exhibition, media art exhibition, performances by the National Busan Gugak Center, and various food events featuring Ssiat Hotteok (seed-filled Korean pancake), Dongnae Pajeon (green onion pancake), and Bibim Dangmyeon (spicy glass noodles), among others. It’s a great opportunity to introduce the captivating charm of Busan to the local audience in France!

Record-breaking Participation in the ‘Queen Elisabeth Competition’

Out of the 55 finalists in the vocal section of the prestigious international classical competition, the ‘Queen Elisabeth Competition’ in 2023, 17 of them are Koreans, marking the largest number of participants from a single country. This achievement demonstrates their outstanding skills. Furthermore, the Korean Cultural Center in Brussels, Belgium, as the representative of the European Union, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Queen Elisabeth Competition, supporting the participation of Korean judges and performers and introducing the center as an official sponsor.
